This award is presented annually to the non-member who has contributed the most to helping the association meet its mission of providing leadership and direction to academic internal medicine. Nominated four times for BU's prestigious Metcalf Award for teaching excellence. In 2003-2004 and 2004-2005, voted "Best Professor" by Cohort C of Boston University's MBA students. Awards for articles, include: American College of Healthcare Executives for best article of 1997 ("Managing Clinical Integration in Integrated Delivery Systems") Healthcare Financial Management Association.
